13 films in 82 minutes – sounds like there’s no room for real stories? Think again.
The short film festival “Mückenalarm – Shorts in a Swarm” lands on Europaplatz on August 12 starting at 04:00 PM, bringing a fast-paced program packed with stories: from bedroom mosquitos and inner diving board battles to chaotic family camping trips and forest creatures with a hunger for dance.
Each film is different – sometimes poetic (Aubade), sometimes quirky (The Good, the Bad and the Buggy), sometimes political (Concept of a Happy Mom). Curated by interfilm Berlin, this is no blockbuster lineup, but a hand-picked selection of animated films, documentaries, experimental works, and short fiction – with contributions from France, Norway, Germany, India, and Switzerland.
